In 1981, the United Nations Educational Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) designated Head-Smashed-In Buffalo Jump as a World Heritage Site, and it is easy to see why. This unique area can be spotted from a long ways off but nothing compares to the view from the upper pathways and the experience you will have inside the multi-level Interpretive Centre.
Plan on spending the day out here, and don't forget your camera. The beauty of this place is reflected in the nicely done HSIBJ geocoins, which were launched in 2014 and available inside the gift shop.
Approximate Time For Completion: We suggest to give yourself a full day, but the geocaches could probably could be done in about 2 hours.
Pro Tip: All of the answers you need for the various caches and the caches themselves are within reaching distance from the established trails. HSIBJ works hard to protect the fragile prairie grasses that surround the area so be sure to respect your surroundings.
Associated Geocaches: Virtual (GC86AC), Earthcache (GC11RAR), Unknown (GC5AJ89) and Traditional (GC59VXA).
Cost of Geocoin: $12 (fully trackable on geocaching.com)
Associated Fees: Interpretive Center Entry Fee
